A player-controlled saboteur gets the demolitions cursor over a non-allied Repairable=yes structure. Clicking it sends the saboteur to arm a charge, which Arming a structure covers; the saboteur survives it.

Over a structure that is not Repairable=yes, the saboteur gets the ordinary attack cursor, but it does not shoot. The attack order turns into a capture order, so the saboteur walks into the structure and is consumed with no effect. A commando over a structure covers deployed vehicles and force fire.

C4=yes also turns Infiltrate=yes on after the section is read, so an Infiltrate=no in the same section has no effect.

A computer-owned saboteur includes structures in its target scan and switches to sabotage when its target is a Repairable=yes structure. Computer-controlled engineers lists those mission changes.

A human player’s saboteur does not retaliate against a structure that damages it.

Other infantry are killed when they finish a move on a rock or water cell while not on a bridge. A saboteur is not.

The C4 veteran ability gives a soldier the same cursor over structures, mission changes, retaliation rule and rock and water exemption, so a type that gains it at a rank acts as a saboteur without this setting. The ability does not turn Infiltrate on, and it does not give the demolitions cursor over a deployed vehicle.
