Scenario

The mission a campaign opens with, or the mission number from which a musical score may be picked.

BATTLE*.INI

[<Campaign ID>]
Value
string
When omitted
(empty)An empty name, which starts nothing.

The value is the map file the campaign begins with, and it is folded to upper case as it is stored. Choosing the campaign from the mission list starts that file as its first mission; a campaign that names no file fails to start and drops back to the menu.

The same stored name is searched for GDI whenever the campaign’s disc number is above 1, which is how a Firestorm campaign’s loading screen decides which side’s artwork to draw.

Score unlock mission

The score is withheld from the playlist until the campaign has reached the mission number written here, compared against the number the running scenario carries. The test applies to campaign games only — a skirmish or multiplayer session skips it, so every score is available there from the start.

Withheld means withheld from the automatic playlist and from the sound options track list alike; a score can still be started outright by name whatever this is set to.
